Indulge your sweet tooth and delve into the delectable world of Alicante's most iconic treats during our chocolate and turrón (traditional Spanish nougat) tasting event.
For those with a craving for all things sweet, we invite you to join us at the Tower of Santa Catalina, nestled within the Santa Barbara Castle, for an enchanting chocolate and turrón (traditional Spanish nougat) tasting experience.
Before you dive into these mouthwatering confections, you'll embark on a journey through the rich history of chocolate and turrón, two of Alicante's most cherished sweets. Our knowledgeable guide will uncover the origins of turrón, a beloved Christmas treat crafted in both Jijona and Villajoyosa, influenced by the region's Arab heritage.
Have you ever wondered about the ingredients, the intricate process of creation, and why turrón takes center stage during the holiday season? All these questions and more will be answered during this immersive culinary adventure. To cap off the experience, you'll have the opportunity to try three chocolates from Villajoyosa and two turrones from Jijona.
After an enriching 45-minute session, our chocolate and turrón tasting event will come to an end, leaving us with a sweet taste in our mouths.
