Translate this opinion into English.

A very interesting experience... both from a gastronomic perspective (the authenticity of the recipes) and a social perspective. Thanks in particular to Federico, who guided us step by step throughout the workshop. Opinion translated. Show original.

The activity was fun, but the tools were dirty and didn't work well. They were very stingy with meat and fish, which was a shame and not in proportion to the price. Opinion translated. Show original.

The activity wasn't bad, but one of the essential elements of Alicante rice dishes is the broth used to cook it, and they didn't teach us how to make it; it was already prepared. We would have liked them to show us how to make the broth. Furthermore, several ingredients had already been bought and frozen because the activity took place on January 2nd, 2026, and there was no fresh produce available at the market. This resulted in a decrease in quality. I think €50 per person is too much for what we ultimately did.

Fred and the chef were excellent. Fred promptly met us at the Central Market and the tour group joined him as he picked up and explained the ingredients for the paella’s and Sangria. We walked a short couple of blocks to a restaurant where the class was held. The whole class participated in making seafood and pork/veggie paellas then enjoyed it at a sit down meal with appetizers and Sangria. It was a lively, fun and informative experience. Thank you/mil gracias!

We recently attended a paella course that exceeded our expectations! The course began with a visit to the vibrant Alicante market, where we explored fresh produce. Fred shared insights about the ingredients, deepening our appreciation for authentic paella. Making paella and sangria was a highlight! We learned valuable techniques and had a blast. We highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning paella and immersing themselves in local culture!

The workshop contained a little tour of the market with time to look around and various stops to buy fresh ingredients. The cooking itself was social and authentic with some really good food hacks alongside. All in all, a really fun, local and memorable experience.

Really a good value and fun experience. It was a full group (14), Federico kept it really cohesive and flowing. Guests were from many countries and all understood the explanations. It was obvious he has a good relationship with vendors in the Mercado and controls a large group in a crowded space efficiently. The detail provided was interesting and just enough. The meal was great, the chef was helpful and it was exactly as advertised, even better. Federico was personable and professional.

Maria is very cheerfull and knows how to tell her stories in an interesting way. This activity can also be used as a tour around the market, because she shows you the whole market and tells interesting details. It's also a nice opportunity to get to know the local food culture. It's a nice activity with teenagers.
