On this electric bike tour, we'll take a tour on two wheels of the landscapes of Chambord and Villesavin and visit the beautiful Loire Valley Castles. You'll be truly captivated from start to finish!
We'll meet at the scheduled time at the Amboise Tourist Office and from there, we'll make our way by minibus towards the Villesavin Palace. One of the main castles in the Loire awaits us!
Once we've arrived at this French Renaissance chateau, we'll set off on our electric bike tour through the surrounding forests. After cycling for around 45 minutes, we'll arrive at Chambord, the most famous chateau in the Loire Valley.
Is it true that Leonardo da Vinci himself was responsible for its design? We'll hear all about this and many more interesting facts on a guided tour of Chambord Castle, which has been declared a World Heritage Site. During the tour of this architectural jewel, we'll learn about the most important rooms in the palace, which was commissioned by King François I in the 1500s.
After visiting Chambord, you'll have an hour of free time to grab something for lunch at the palace restaurant or one of the food stalls surrounding it. After eating, we'll hop back on our bikes towards Villesavin to take yet another guided tour of a castle. The driving force behind its construction was Jean le Breton, a minister of François I and supervisor of the works at Chambord. The best part? We'll take a break under the 1900 linden tree to enjoy a snack.
Finally, we'll return to the minibus and make our way back to the meeting point, where we'll be expected to arrive after 8 hours together.
