With this ticket to the Rembrandt House Museum, you'll discover what life was like for the famous Dutch painter, who lived in this building between 1639 and 1658.
When Rembrandt bought his house in the former Antoniesbreestraat (now Jodenbreestraat), where he lived from 1639 to 1658, Amsterdam was enjoying a period of unprecedented prosperity and wealth.
Rembrandt's success as a painter enabled him to acquire this house in one of the favourite areas of the Dutch elite. Wealthy merchants and bourgeois were the artist's neighbours and often hired him to paint portraits of their families, thus helping to increase his popularity.
With your ticket to the Rembrandt House Museum you can visit its exhibition, which includes 260 etchings by the Dutch painter, as well as an important collection of paintings and drawings.
In addition, Rembrandt's original home has been reconstructed, including his studio, which offers a glimpse into the artist's daily life. What are you waiting for to visit?
The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm. Between July 18 and August 22, it's also open on Mondays from 10 am to 6 pm.
