Visit two of Athens's most renowned sights by reserving your ticket and audio guide for the Acropolis and its accompanying museum. Travel through time and discover the glory of the classical age in Greece.
Admission to the Acropolis will grant you access to what is known literally as the 'Highest Point'. This area, which lies 156 metres (511 feet) above sea level, played an important defensive role and was one of the main places of worship in Athens. You'll be able to visit at your own pace some of the most famous temples of ancient Greece.
During your visit, you'll have access to a mobile app which will give you the opportunity to explore the ancient world before you through an audio guide. For example, Did you know the theatre Dionysus was one of the world's first theatres? Who were the first Greek gods? Why is the location of the Erectheion so important? When was the Parthenon built?
Discover how the Athenians used to live thousands of years ago and about the most famous people of the time while exploring one of Athens's most popular tourist attractions. This will be without a doubt an unforgettable visit to one of the world's most famous World Heritage Sights.
Keep in mind that with this admission you may only visit the Acropolis at the selected time upon making the booking.
To delve deeper into the history of the area, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Museum of the Acropolis. Here you will find a number of original pieces from Ancient Greece, including sculptures and objects rescued from the Acropolis itself.
For example, the female columns of the Erechtheion, known as the Caryatids, can be found here. Those that can be seen within the Acropolis are simply a remake of the originals, which are now held in the museum where they can be looked after. The same can be said about the structural decoration of the Parthenon. Be sure to look to your audio guide for all the information you need regarding the rest of the exhibitions.
The Acropolis Museum's opening times are as follows:
