The €59 excursion is not a guided tour, but rather a direct transfer/comfort between Bari and Alberobello and Matera, as there is no public transport connecting the 3 sites. You get on a 60-seat bus and they take you first to Alberobello and then to Matera. It’s true that we had already looked at the itinerary beforehand, but they provide you with a guide with a QR code with the most highlighted sites on maps, and they give you the main route already planned. Translate this opinion into English.

The visit to Matera was spectacular thanks to Pascuale. The guide introduced us to Matera's history with his explanations, and we were able to understand how history has left its mark on this beautiful city. Alberobello is also a very pretty town, but the guide there wasn't as enthusiastic as Pascuale. Both towns are well worth a visit. Opinion translated. Show original.

The cities are very beautiful and well worth visiting. The tour allows ample time to explore them. There are some improvements that could be made, such as offering the tasting at the end of the Alberobello visit as an optional extra. It would be helpful if the guide used a microphone and provided headphones so we could move around the city more easily. It would also be beneficial to divide the groups (Spanish/English) as they did in Matera, to avoid wasting time.

Translate this opinion into English.

In Alberobello, we were given the same amount of time to visit as in Matera, even though Matera is larger, the distance from where the bus drops you off to the center is a 15-20 minute walk, and you also have to eat. We did the tour independently. In Alberobello, they gave us an audio guide with an internet link, but not in Matera. The bus was fine, but the bathroom when we arrived in Matera smelled terribly of urine, but that's more a matter of civic responsibility than the company's fault.

Translate this opinion into English.

The bus dropped us off very far from the center of the cities we visited, both in Alberobello and in Matera, we lost over an hour going to and from the bus to the city center and walking under the scorching sun..... the guide we had in Matera was very good.

I think you spend too much time in Arberobello; it can be seen in less time. In comparison, I think Matera requires considerably more time. Having one guide to teach two languages within the same group isn't ideal, regardless of how fabulously the guide did.

It was just a round-trip transfer with a stop, along with the delivery of a brochure and an audio guide on how to use it. When we got off the bus, the driver pointed out the direction we should walk. This is not a tour; it's a round-trip transfer to two cities in Puglia.

We took the day trip to Alberobello on our own and it was a great choice; a charming and very beautiful town. As for Matera, it wasn't what we expected. We arrived at 2 pm with a guide, it was very hot, and the trip felt long and uninteresting. The driver's punctuality was a highlight.

Me generó incertidumbre.

The excursion was very good. Highly recommended. What kept it from being excellent was that, having booked a Spanish-speaking guide 48 hours in advance, I received a message saying, "Since there were two of us, Italian or English didn't matter to us." I replied, "No." This created uncertainty. Only upon arriving at the meeting point was I informed that I would have a guide. In Alberobello, the guide, Micaela, showed no willingness to explain in Spanish; in fact, the tasting was explained in English, and she was standing on the sidewalk. In contrast, Pascual in Matera was excellent.

Translate this opinion into English.

Everything was fine, the guides were well-prepared and, despite the touristic attractiveness of the places we visited (the souvenir shops inside the trulli were disturbing) and the influx of such huge masses of tourists in such small places, they managed to convey to us a bit of the authenticity of the places and some historical information. The trulli of Alb and the caves of Matera are well worth seeing; they are truly unique. The tour timings were good, our guide Pasquale in Matera was excellent, and a special thanks to our bus driver, Nico, for fixing a problem with another bus from the company so his colleague could continue his journey. Normal.

It's normal. You get on a bus, they show you a video explaining the day's activities and rules, and the driver takes you to the sites. There's no guide, no one in charge of the passengers. It's the same as going on your own, except you have to wait for 40 other people.
