If you’re in Boston, you can’t miss one of the city’s most famous attractions. The New England Aquarium is a place designed especially for nature lovers of all ages. Welcome to the Boston Aquarium!

Situated on the waterfront of Massachusetts’ capital, the New England Aquarium is a world-leading centre for marine conservation. By booking your ticket, you can immerse yourself in a magical world, where the ocean and its inhabitants will be your best travelling companions.

At the aquarium, you can admire thousands of aquatic animals, from African penguins and green turtles to California sea lions. What’s more, the aquarium carries out cutting-edge scientific research; thanks to the Anderson Babot Centre for Ocean Life, they work tirelessly to protect the blue planet and improve the lives of the ocean’s creatures.

During your visit, don’t miss the following areas at the Boston Aquarium:

Giant Ocean Tank: As its name suggests, this is a giant, four-storey cylindrical tank that recreates a Caribbean coral reef. You can stroll along its walkway and watch sharks, octopuses, and seahorses swimming peacefully. You’ll also find the famous sea turtle, Myrtle, here.
Penguin Colony: This is the perfect spot for penguin enthusiasts. Located on the ground floor of the aquarium, this colony is home to over 60 penguins of different species.
Touch Tank: The New England Aquarium boasts the largest touch tank on the East Coast. You can touch some marine animals, such as rays and small sharks.
Marine mammals: In this outdoor area of the aquarium, you’ll be able to watch various shows featuring California sea lions and seals as the main stars.

Opening Times

The New England Aquarium is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Last admission is one hour before closing time.
