Roman origins and religious tradition come together in Braga, a city with more than 2000 years of history that you can discover on this amazing private tour.
The tour meets at the time indicated in the Torre de Menagem ready for a two and a half hour private tour through the Portuguese city of Braga, known as the "Portuguese Rome".
During the tour, the guide will reveal the history, culture and traditions of Braga, a city known for its long religious tradition. That includes the impressive Sé Cathedral, which mixes the Gothic style of the 15th century with the Baroque of the 17th, and has been a national monument since 1910.
Then it's on towards the Episcopal Palace, with a history that goes back to the 4th century. Our next stops will be at the beautiful Santa Bárbara Gardens and then the Teatro Circo, known for its architecture and stunning decoration.
The next stops are Praça da República, Avenida da Liberdade and Rua do Raio, where is the well-known palace of the same name, home to a staircase that's more than 500 years old!
After two and a half fascinating hours, we put the tour to an end.
By booking a private tour you will enjoy the exclusive use of a English-speaking guide. You will receive a much more personalized service and you will be able to design the itinerary based on your tastes and preferences. Moreover, if you are part of a large group, you will save money!
