A very good tour! Ramón is an excellent guide, very friendly and helpful. It's interesting because the guide tells you the history of the Suez Canal and also about Egyptian culture, and he took me to a restaurant where I had a very good Egyptian seafood lunch. Opinion translated. Show original.

The experience was very disappointing. I don't think they should offer an excursion that, quite literally, doesn't exist. The Suez Canal is a military zone and is not open to the public. The excursion consisted of taking us from Cairo to Suez, entering the lawn area of the military recreation club, and leaving us there for a while to watch a few ships pass by. Then, lunch in Ismailia and the return trip to Cairo.

I took a family trip to the Suez Canal with Ramon. The day started well with a stop in Ismailia to admire the canal. However, Port Said was a disappointment. We crossed the canal ferry in a matter of minutes, even though the advertisement promised lunch at a restaurant overlooking the canal. Instead, we ate at the market (the food was good, but the advertising was misleading). Ramon made a long stop for personal shopping, which wasted valuable time. I am writing to the agency to complain extensively.

Translate this opinion into English.

We confirm that the meal is no longer served in a restaurant overlooking the canal. We apologize if this or any other aspect was not to your liking, and we will continue working to improve. A refund has been issued. Opinion translated. Show original.

Gran manejo del idioma y muy atento a nuestras necesidades y consultas Translate this opinion into English.

This is a very interesting excursion if you have a few days off in Cairo. You'll visit lesser-known places that are different from the rest of Egypt. Our guide, Ramón, was excellent and made our experience very enjoyable. He spoke excellent languages and was very attentive to our needs and questions. Opinion translated. Show original.

We couldn't access the canal structure. It wasn't clear whether it was a failure of the organizing company or if the army was not allowing access that day. We accessed photos of the canal from a nearby restaurant. The guide either didn't know or couldn't even explain the basics of the site's history. We had lunch in Cairo since the tour ended at 10:00, which was much earlier than expected. The lunch was good.

1. There was an avoidable confusion about the meeting point at the hotel, though I had made an arrangement by calling 01147848787 in the previous day. 2. In fact, the trip was a visit to Ismailia lake and not to Suez canal. We saw only from a big distance the passing ships and nothing of the above picture. That was not what we had in mind and you should mention what visitors are to see. 3. The guide was kind but did not know the area well. The food was good.

I regret to say that this wasn't a great tour. My guide made an effort to smoothen the situation, but really at some point, it was too late. To start with I had a good level of information, good communication in English. But then it became weird when the guide and the driver were asking their way around to random people to have directions. It was unprepared and improvised. We waited 1H50 to have our lunch served. The guide even left me for half an hour to go praying. Unprofessional. A joke.

They went to the wrong hotel (but their office is nearby) so pickup was 1.5 hrs late? The drive was 3 hrs one-way so I saw the Suez Canal for 20 mins (15 mins of talk from Guide about Suez Canal and his kids). I was offered lunch, shopping downtown and then offered dinner as compensation. I only wanted 2 Egyptian breads for lunch as we had early flights out of Cairo and my wife wanted to eat dinner at the hotel. I never got lunch. Asked for some refund. I'll never book a tour again.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the late pick-up and strive to keep such incidents to a minimum. We have confirmed that the activity still went ahead as planned, and we have also received confirmation that you were offered lunch. In view of the situation, financial compensation has been made in your favour.

The visit to the Suez Canal was a surprise. The excursion was not prepared and the guide had no knowledge of how you can see the boats sailing through the canal. Driver and guide were however flexible and agreed to follow my instructions to explore the places where the boats could be seen. Finally, we were able to see the boats in an ideal location in Ismailia, in a park right on the canal, where the canal itself welcomes WELCOME TO EGYPT visitors.
