In this guided tour of the Giovanna Tantini winery, you'll enter the wine world of Lake Garda and take part in a tasting of 6 wines. Not to be missed!
We'll meet at the indicated time at the Giovanna Tantini winery in Castelnuovo del Garda. Once we've all arrived, we'll prepare to learn about the philosophy, history, and facilities of this company dedicated to wine.
First, we'll start the experience by strolling through the cellar's vineyards with Giovanna Tantini, the owner herself. After listing the different grape varieties on the estate, we'll start our tasting, which includes a total of 6 wines and a platter of cold meats and cheeses.
We'll begin to stimulate our taste buds with a Custoza, a fresh white wine typical of the area, followed by a Chiaretto, the Rosè DOC typical of Lake Garda, made from Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes. We'll then continue with a Bardolino DOC, the company's specialty, and a Garda Corvina DOC 100% Corvina, a fresh version of the grape typical of the area.
The second-last tasting will be an Ettore IGT, a blend of Corvina, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot aged in wood for 18 months. The last tasting will be a Greta IGT, a wine in which the grapes are dried in the vineyard, a particular and difficult process that characterizes its strong identity.
After 1.5 hours of wine tasting, we'll finish the tour.
