Discover the town of Cava de' Tirreni in the Italian countryside on this private tour in English. You'll have an exclusive guide just for you!
At the time of your choice, we'll meet in Piazza San Francesco, where we'll begin our private tour of Cava de' Tirreni. Ready to discover this charming medieval village near Salerno with an exclusive guide?
We'll start by visiting the Church of San Francesco e Sant'Antonio, one of the most important buildings in the town. In front of the façade of the church, we'll tell you about its construction in 1500 and its various subsequent restorations due to wars and earthquakes.
Next to the church, we'll come across a convent that houses treasures like crypts with relics, the Adoration Chapel, the mosaic of the planisphere, a prestigious library and a historic nativity crib. This religious space is also the gateway to Borgo Scacciaventi, the historical center of Cava de' Tirreni.
Our tour continues along the main street, Corso Umberto I, which was once inhabited by the artisans of Cava de' Tirreni. Along this road today, we see a variety of shops and places to stop and try the culinary delights of Campania.
We'll move next to the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Visitazione, boasting an imposing façade that stands at the top of a wide staircase. You'll be amazed by its interior!
After two hours, we'll end our private tour of Cava de' Tirreni in Piazza Abbro in front of the Town Hall.
