We'll pick you up at your hotel in Cuenca at the scheduled time to commence this exciting journey to the Girón waterfall and Busa Lake. From the fertile Tarqui Valley to the verdant expanses of the cloud forest, this route promises unique natural experiences. Let's dive in!
The adventure kicks off with a scenic drive through the renowned Tarqui Valley, celebrated for its cattle ranching and lush greenery. Our first stop unfolds at a historically significant site, a location crucial to Ecuador's struggle for independence. Here, amid stunning Andean views, you'll delve deeper into the country's rich history.
Next, we'll proceed to the Girón waterfall—an enchanting wooded area adorned with bromeliads, orchids, and mosses. A leisurely 20-minute walk through the vibrant vegetation brings us to the waterfall, offering a refreshing dip in its cool waters and serenity in the midst of nature.
Our journey then leads us to Busa Lake, where a brief stroll along its shores unveils panoramic views of the lagoon and the surrounding mountains. It's a moment to inhale the crisp air and revel in Ecuador's pristine natural beauty!
Following this, a lunch break awaits before we embark on our return journey. Seven hours after the start, we'll be back in Cuenca, having experienced a day full of nature's stunningly diverse contrasts. Until next time!
