Feel like a real Teutonic knight as you explore Gdansk and visit Malbork Castle on this tour—an adventure you won't want to miss!
Meet at the Brama Wyżynna gate at the designated time to kick off our extraordinary journey through the historical gems of Gdansk.
First, we'll embark on a minibus journey to the town of Malbork. Upon arrival, we'll explore Malbork Castle—a medieval stronghold recognized as a World Heritage Site since 1997. Dive into a three-hour tour of the fortress, the former seat of the Teutonic Order, accompanied by insightful commentary provided by an audio guide in English. Uncover intriguing tales, including the siege after the Battle of Grunwald and the events during the Thirteen Years' War.
Afterward, we'll regroup and return to Gdansk. You'll enjoy an hour of free time for lunch before embarking on a tour of the old town. We'll follow the Royal Route, the historical axis where parades and triumphal entries of Polish kings took place during the Middle Ages.
Then, we'll visit the Amber Museum, formerly a torture chamber and prison. We'll pass through the Golden Gate Arch and witness distinctive late Renaissance landmarks. As we traverse Long Street, we'll encounter the Golden House, Neptune's Fountain, the Town Hall, and the Court of Artus—an emblematic structure where the myth of the Knights of the Round Table is based.
Eventually, we'll reach the Vistula River, pausing in front of the medieval Gdansk Crane—a formidable construction from the 14th century. Admire the Basilica of Our Lady, the world's largest brick church. Finally, we'll conclude the tour at the Great Armory, examining its Dutch Mannerist architecture and facade details such as the Minerva statue.
We'll return to the starting point in Gdansk after 8.5 to 9 hours.
You can book up to 1 day in advance if there are any seats left. Book now and guarantee your spot.
