At the indicated time, we'll meet at your hotel in central La Rochelle and begin a private tour of the historic centre of the capital of the Charente-Maritime department.
Our tour within this beautiful city on the Atlantic coast will have a duration of 2, 3 or 4 hours, depending on your chosen option. In all cases, the route will be on foot, although in the longer options we might also use public transport.
We'll start our private tour of La Rochelle by exploring the Vieux Port area, a picturesque port that stands out for its charming cafés with sea views. In this area, we'll also see the exteriors of the Lantern Tower, the Chain Tower and Saint Nicolas Tower, three robust medieval towers that protected the entrance to the port.
Next, we'll go into the old town of La Rochelle, where we'll pass by outstanding places such as the Central Market or La Rochelle Cathedral, built in the second half of the 18th century. If you wish, you can also walk along the Allée du Mail, a long promenade from which you can enjoy magnificent views.
We can also visit the beautiful Saint-Nicolas district, known for its craft shops, and the Concurrence beach, one of the most popular beaches in La Rochelle due to its lively atmosphere.
We'll conclude the tour at your hotel in La Rochelle or at a central point of the city, whichever you prefer.
This private tour of La Rochelle will start from your hotel, as long as it's located in the historic centre. If you're not staying in the city, or if your accommodation is further away, we'll meet at the indicated time at the Vieux Port.
You can book up to 18 hours in advance if there are any seats left. Book now and guarantee your spot.
