Paddle down the Cares River at your own pace while enjoying the beautiful landscapes of northern Spain! On this trip, you and your group will get to kayak by yourselves down this spectacular alpine river.
With a total length of 54 kilometers (33 miles), the Cares River is one of the most crystalline freshwater streams in the region of Asturias. If you want to explore the beautiful lush green landscapes in a different and fun way, this solo descent of the Cares River is perfect for you.
Departing from Niserias, you'll have all the time you need to reach the end of this 22-kilometer (13-mile) route. Thanks to the steady current of the river, won't have to work too hard to paddle down to the final destination - just relax and enjoy!
If you feel like a break, along the route you'll find different places where you can stop to grab a bite, something to drink, or simply rest your arms and explore the wilderness.
The route comes to an end at the mouth of the Deva River, in the Cantabrian town of Unquera. There the minibus will be waiting for you to return to the meeting point in Pesués.
If prefer to do the activity accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you can also book this Cares River Guided Kayak Tour.
