On this full tour of the Duero Valley, we'll visit different wineries, where we'll enjoy a winetasting from Porto. Plus, we'll take a lovely boat ride.
At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel and start to explore this area of Northern Portugal.
Our first stop will be at a wine farm, where we'll explore its vineyards and learn how wines in this region are made. Of course, we'll end this visit with a winetasting from Porto and other towns in the Duero Valley. We'll discover all about these wines and their nuances.
Then, we'll head to the shores of the river to take a boat down the Duero. This 1-hour journey will take place on a rabelo, a traditional wooden boat from the north of Portugal. Along the way, we'll admire the vineyards along the river's shores.
At the end of the ride, we'll head to a restaurant in the area to enjoy a traditional lunch. The menu, which includes a traditional dish and local drinks, will allow us to taste the famed local cuisine. After eating, we'll go to a viewpoint for extraordinary panoramics of the Duero Valley.
After this, we'll move on to the next farm to continue learning all about the product methods and ageing of wines in the north of Portugal. We'll also try some varieties made in Porto and other areas in the Duero Valley.
Once we've finished this second winetasting, we'll head back to your hotel, where we'll arrive after about 8 hours.
This tour includes pickup from hotels in Lamego, Peso da Régua and Pinhão.
Please note that the itinerary may be modified depending on the availability of the places to visit on the day of booking. We will choose some of the following vineyards:
