Founded in 1931, the Prague Zoo isn't just a zoo; it's a conservation icon. Located in the rough lands of Prague-Troja, its construction was an architectural challenge that made use of the natural rock formations to create spaces that blend into the landscape.
Today, it's known internationally as the fifth best zoo in the world, a well-deserved award after overcoming the devastating floods in 2002, which led to its total reconstruction with the most modern installations in Europe.
Spanning over 123 acres (50 hectares), the zoo is renowned for housing endangered species, such as Przewalski's horse, which the park has helped reintroduce into the steppes of Mongolia.
With this ticket to the Prague Zoo, you can explore this space that houses more than 5000 animals at your own pace. Plus, so you don't miss any details of its species and preservation, you'll have an audio guide in English that you can use as you journey to five continents through its 15 themed sections and more than 150 exhibitions.
