On this small-group guided tour of the Borghese Gallery, you'll enjoy an exclusive experience exploring one of Rome's... and the world's... most prestigious art collections.
At the designated time, we'll meet in front of the entrance to the Borghese Gallery, the former villa of Cardinal Scipione Borghese, to kick off a journey through the history of Italian art. Ready to step back in time?
Thanks to the small group format, we'll enjoy a personalized tour that lets us truly appreciate the details of the masterpieces housed in this beautiful palace in the heart of Rome. Let's go!
After introductions, we'll make our way through the gallery's rooms to discover its extraordinary collection of marble sculptures and paintings. We'll admire the neoclassical delicacy of Canova's Pauline Bonaparte and be blown away by the dynamic energy of Bernini's sculptures, including the famous Apollo and Daphne and The Rape of Proserpina.
Over the course of the 2-hour visit, we'll also analyze the painterly mastery of artists of the caliber of Caravaggio, Raphael, and Titian. Your guide will reveal the history of the collection, including the curious episode of how a significant portion of the works was sold to Napoleon, pieces that today form part of the Louvre.
After the guided tour, you'll have the chance to stroll at your own pace through the spectacular gardens of Villa Borghese. These freely accessible gardens offer a peaceful retreat with some of the most impressive views in Rome, the perfect finishing touch to this artistic adventure.
If you'd prefer to visit the museum on your own without a guide, we recommend checking out these Borghese Gallery tickets with an audioguide instead.
