Salisbury Cathedral is one of the most important and beautiful cathedrals in England. Its location in the centre of a large field makes it an imposing building for all visitors. Built in the Gothic style, construction began in 1220 and was completed in 1320, the year in which the tower and spire, two of the most impressive features of the cathedral, were erected. Did you know it is the tallest in the country?
Once inside, you can visit its double-cross floor plan and the three naves, full of ribbed arches, which give it a unique character. In addition, with this ticket to Salisbury Cathedral, you'll have the opportunity to see the Magna Carta, one of the most important documents in Western history, or the oldest working medieval clock in the world.
Another great attraction of the cathedral is that it inspired Ken Follet in the writing of his most popular work, The Pillars of the Earth. Will it inspire you too?
