On this private walking tour of Santander, you'll explore the city's historic center with a guide all to yourselves. You're going to love it!
We'll meet at the designated time in front of the Tourist Office to kick off this private walking tour. Ready to explore one of the most beautiful cities in northern Spain?
First, we'll stroll through the Pereda Gardens to discover the cutting-edge Centro Botín, designed by architect Renzo Piano, which offers the best views of the bay. You'll fall in love!
We'll keep walking through Santander's streets as we tell you about its past. Notice anything different about the buildings? We'll share the story of the devastating fire of 1941 that swept through the city. We'll also pass by the Cathedral of Santa María de la Asunción. Did you know its interior has been renovated many times?
Next, we'll take a look at the facade of City Hall and head inside the Mercado de la Esperanza, the perfect place to discover the area's traditional food and get a taste of daily life in Santander.
To wrap up this private tour of Santander, we'll also see Plaza Porticada, the Mercado del Este, and Plaza de Pombo, where we'll say our goodbyes after 2 hours.
When you book a private tour, you'll have a guide just for you. You can also adjust the itinerary to suit your interests, and if you're a large group, you'll save money!
