On this private tour of the Cathedral of Seville, you'll discover the secrets of one of the iconic monuments of Seville with an exclusive guide.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet you on Francos Street, where we'll set off towards the awe-inspiring Seville Cathedral. Are you excited to delve into the details of the world's largest Gothic temple?
We'll step inside the cathedral, which held the title of the world's largest until the construction of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Gradually, we'll unravel the intricacies of this architectural masterpiece that holds a prominent place on the World Heritage List. What are its origins? How has it evolved over time?
Our path will lead us through the Patio de los Naranjos, a space that, along with the Giralda Tower, preserves elements from the Almohad period. Have you noticed that this cathedral lacks a semicircular apse? Its distinctive rectangular layout, featuring five grand naves, is illuminated by the delicate hues of its stained glass windows.
As we explore further, we'll marvel at the lofty vaulted ceilings and numerous chapels, adorned with paintings, sculptures, and even intricate gold and silver craftsmanship. You'll notice an array of architectural styles, each carrying a piece of history.
After an enriching hour and a half of immersing ourselves in the cathedral's grandeur, we'll conclude our private tour of the Seville Cathedral.
