We got our tickets for 3 pm to avoid the morning crowds, and it was fantastic. We arrived around 1 pm, with time to see the gardens first, and around 2:30 pm we went to the entrance and were told to join the queue at 2:45 pm. For us, it was a very good experience, without any problems. Opinion translated. Show original.

It's a very beautiful place, very crowded but you can still see everything. If you have time, you can see the gardens, the lake, the Countess's villa, etc. It's best to go in the morning to make the most of the day. The only downside is that there are many hills and it's tiring to get there. We took a Bolt (a local bus) which took us to the gate, and when we left we took another one because you're not allowed to drive all the way there. From the entrance to the castle gate it takes about twenty minutes. It's well worth it. Opinion translated. Show original.

It is an incredible experience. The maze of gardens in the heart of nature and the beautiful palace is something you cannot miss on your visit to Portugal. We were able to enjoy wonderful panoramic views of Cascais and Lisbon in the background thanks to the good weather. A crowning achievement. Although it was tough, it is worth walking the path. El recorrido es hermoso y satisfactorio Translate this opinion into English.

We walked up to the Castle and the Palace along a beautiful nature trail. The views were stunning. It requires a bit of effort; it's a 40-minute walk to the castle and then another 20 minutes to Pena Palace. The walk is beautiful and rewarding. Opinion translated. Show original.

I was very surprised by the visit to the Palace, it has beautiful architecture full of details and history, its balconies offer a wonderful view, it was worth it, the wait in line to enter was a bit disorganized because they mix schedules which makes the entry slower.

The activity was generally good. The Palace and its surroundings are very beautiful, although I did notice many neglected areas in terms of maintenance, particularly in parts of the gardens, and the signage is inadequate for exploring them fully. Only a few points are clearly marked. Furthermore, August is a very crowded month, so the experience isn't quite as enjoyable.

The voucher says you need to exchange your tickets: that's not the case. Just show the voucher at the entrance and they'll scan the barcodes. What is important is to arrive half an hour early, as it takes a while to climb up to the Palace, which is quite strenuous. The gardens are impressive. The Palace itself is worth seeing, although they only show you a small portion, but you need to bring headphones because they only show you a QR code for the audio guide. The problem: the huge crowds.

Translate this opinion into English.

Thank you for your comment. Please note that to access the Palace, it's important to arrive at least half an hour early, as it can get quite crowded. Entry is granted upon presentation of your voucher; no tickets need to be exchanged. For the audio guide, remember to bring headphones, as it uses a QR code. Opinion translated. Show original.

There were queues to get in, and since it was the last shift and we entered a little late even though we were punctual, arriving 10 minutes before the assigned time, the people at the palace were practically pushing you to finish the visit quickly.

Translate this opinion into English.

We apologize for any delays at security checkpoints and the perceived pressure during your visit. Pre-booked tickets guarantee entry without going to the ticket office, but they do not prevent occasional crowding. We will take your feedback into account to improve the visitor experience. Lamentable y poco humano.

We booked the wrong day; instead of Wednesday, we booked Thursday. Our ticket was for the previous day. We made this mistake, and they made us buy two new tickets, even though we'd had a mix-up and less than 24 hours had passed. Very little empathy, and it resulted in a significant expense, as we had to travel again on a different day and buy two more tickets. Disgraceful and inhumane.

After the climb, you can see the Palace in 15 minutes. We went in at 5 pm and were out by 5:15 pm. You can spend as much time as you like in the gardens, but the Palace itself is just four rooms and then you have to leave. A disappointment, after all the years I've been waiting for this trip.

Translate this opinion into English.

It's worth it. It's very beautiful. Although visiting hours are controlled, I think there's a very long queue to get inside the palace. And once inside, it's too crowded for our liking. I don't even want to imagine what it's like in the middle of summer. Opinion translated. Show original.

De pena en general Translate this opinion into English.

It's a shame, as its name suggests, very expensive for what there is to see. In my opinion, it's not worth it. For that, you could pay for the gardens and see them from the outside. And also, the duchess's chalet is closed for renovations and no one informs you about it. Overall, it's a shame. Opinion translated. Show original.
