If you love history, culture and archaeology, our Klis & Trogir Day Trip is perfect for you! We'll visit a Roman amphitheatre, explore medieval ruins and even see where Game of Thrones was filmed.
At the agreed time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Split and take a bus to the nearby town of Klis, just half an hour away. Upon arrival, we’ll head up to Klis Fortress, a medieval stronghold that has guarded the city since the 16th century.
In addition to the beauty of its walls and the stunning panoramic views it offers, Klis Fortress is now famous for its role in Game of Thrones. Through the magic of television, the fortress transformed into Meereen, the largest and most important city in the Bay of Dragons.
From Klis, we'll take a scenic 40-minute drive along the Dalmatian Coast to the charming town of Trogir.
Once we arrive in Trogir, our first stop will be the Cathedral of St. Lawrence, where we’ll enjoy a guided tour of its stunning interior. Afterward, you'll have free time to explore the charming streets and monuments of this beautiful city, whose historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Game of Thrones fans may recognize several of its buildings—after all, Trogir stood in for Qarth, “the greatest city that ever was or ever will be.”
After our tour of Trogir and Klis, we'll return to your hotel in Split, arriving approximately 4 hours after pickup.
You can book up to 2 days in advance if there are any seats left. Book now and guarantee your spot.
