See the Borromean Islands and enjoy a relaxing evening with this boat trip on Lake Maggiore. An unforgettable cruise between the regions of Piedmont and Lombardy!
At 6:30 pm, we'll meet at Piazza Guglielmo Marconi in Stresa. From there, we'll go to the pier and start a boat ride on Lake Maggiore to enjoy one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy.
The first part of the trip will be dedicated to exploring the coast of the Borromean Islands. We'll sail by the islet of San Giovanni, admire the botanical gardens of Isola Madre from the boat, see the 17th-century palace that sits on Isola Bella, as well as we'll cruise around Isola dei Pescatori ('Fisherman's Island'). You won't be able to stop taking pictures!
As we sail along, we'll admire the elegant villas of Baveno and the gardens of Verbania. Leaving the Piedmont region behind toward Lombardy, we'll marvel at the afternoon light shining on the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso. Located on top of a cliff, this 14th-century monastery stands out for its 15-meter-high bell tower.
At 7:30 pm, the boat ride will conclude at the starting point.
