Embark on a private tour of Toledo, Spain, where history and culture intertwine in the city's ancient streets and majestic monuments. Discover the three cultures of this ancient city with an expert guide just for you and your group.
Design Your Own Itinerary
This private tour offers an unparalleled opportunity to delve deep into the heart of Toledo, the so-called "city of three cultures," with the guidance of a local expert passionate about bringing the city's rich past to life through stories and insights. With full freedom to customize your itinerary, you can prioritize the sights that intrigue you most, from the bustling Zocodover Square to the grandeur of the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, making each moment of the tour uniquely yours.
We'll meet up at the time of your choice and then set off on our journey. Why not start by discovering the treasures of the Toledo Cathedral, one of the most important Gothic cathedrals in Spain? Then, if you want, we can head to the imposing Alcazar of Toledo and hear all about the significant role it played during the Spanish Civil War.
Embrace the artistic side of Toledo by visiting the Iglesia de Santo Tomé, a church that houses one of El Greco's masterpieces: "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz." If the handcrafting traditions of the city interest you, the next stop on your tour could be at a traditional sword-making forge or a workshop known for damascening, a specialist method of inlaying metals that is typical of Toledo.
Explore the three cultures for which the city is known: your private tour can take you to explore the Jewish Quarter, where you'll find the old Synagogue, or back in time to Islamic Spain, visiting the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz. The Catholic Monarchs' legacy can be seen at the Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes, and Spain's Visigoth history is visible in the Church of San Román.
You decide which of Toledo's amazing sights you'd like to discover and how long you'd like to spend on your private tour, with a choice of two or three hours.
