If you're in southern France, you can't miss this private tour of Toulon. With an exclusive guide, you'll walk around the old town of the capital of Var, one of the departments in the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
At the designated time, we'll start this private tour of Toulon from the Conservatoire des Uniformes de la Marine Museum.
We'll start our walking tour of the capital of Var in the arsenal area. Here, you'll see the military importance in the city. In fact, today, Toulon is home to one of the largest naval bases in the Mediterannean Sea. As you'll see, its strategic importance has been crucial in specific moments in history.
Next, we'll explore Toulon's old town along the Rue des Arts, where you'll see a wide variety of colorful urban murals. Our next stop will be at the Place de la Liberté, the heart of the city. In this square, you'll admire the Fontaine de la Fédération, built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution.
From this fountain, we'll head to the Toulon Cathedral, dating back to the 11th century. Next to this temple, you'll find the Cours Lafayette, the main shopping street in the city. We'll stroll around this centric street that leads to the port of Toulon. Did you know that this was the site of a historic event tied to Napoleon? You'll discover which one on this tour!
Finally, after a 2-hour tour, we'll conclude our private tour at the port area, very close to our meeting point.
You can book up to 1 day in advance if there are any seats left. Book now and guarantee your spot.
