Join us for a delicious journey through Toulouse’s famous Victor Hugo Market, where we'll explore the vibrant world of French gastronomy. We'll also get to taste local delicacies!
At the appointed time, we’ll meet at the Jardin Pierre Goudouli in Place du Président Thomas Wilson. Get ready for a mouthwatering experience!
Guided by a local foodie, we’ll delve into the heart of local culinary culture, the Victor Hugo Market. Inside, we’ll uncover the secrets behind one of France's most iconic foods: the baguette. We'll see, hear, and taste what distinguishes a truly exceptional baguette.
Our exploration will continue as we sample some extraordinary cheeses, paired with unique wines from the region. We'll discover local grape varieties that rarely make their way beyond French borders, offering a true insider’s perspective on the wines of Southwest France. We'll also learn all about the process of buying the perfect cheese, what to look for, and how to make the perfect selection for a cheese board.
As we wander through the market, we'll meet passionate artisans and gain insights into their craft and the history behind the market itself. We’ll enjoy a substantial tasting that includes local charcuterie, foie gras, and freshly baked bread. After enjoying the market's savoury offerings, we'll enjoy a sweet treat to round off the experience.
Finally, after a total of 3.5 hours, we'll bring this food tour to an end. Of course, you'll be welcome to continue tasting local products in the market—bon appétit!
