Attend a concert of Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons in the very place where the artist composed his most famous works—a magical experience!
If there's one place in Venice that can be linked to Antonio Vivaldi, it's undoubtedly the Santa Maria della Pietà church, aka Santa Maria della Visitazione church or Vivaldi's Church. The beautiful church is located on the Riva degli Schiavoni and is just a few steps from the Doge's Palace. During the 18th century, this building was an orphanage where the composer lived and worked for 40 years. In fact, he composed many of his famous works here!
The group of musicians pays homage to Vivaldi and his work in the Santa Maria della Pietà church with a concert of The Four Seasons. The impeccable acoustics of the church and precious frescoes by Giovanni Battista Tiepolo create a truly magical atmosphere!
Enjoy the most famous melodies of Vivaldi by the hand of one of the best orchestras in Italy for 1 hour and 20 minutes. A fantastic plan to spend an unforgettable evening in Venice!
Please note that Vivaldi's The Four Seasons concert only takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
If you attend on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday, you'll see Around Vivaldi: An Immersive Experience, a tribute to Antonio Vivaldi and other baroque and classical composers.
This activity also includes admission to the Museum of Music, which is located inside the ancient church of San Maurizio. Did you know that it has a collection of 200 original instruments?
There, you'll find objects related to musical pieces from Venice and composers such as Antonio Vivaldi, Amati or Giovanni Battista Guadagnini. You'll be amazed!
The museum is open to the public every day from 10 to 1 pm and from 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Please note that you can visit the museum at any time during its opening hours, irrespective of the date selected when booking.
