This picturesque village in the Swiss Alps Bernese Oberland region is popular among tourists for its stunning alpine scenery, including snow-capped mountains and glaciers, and outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and mountaineering.
Surrounded by some of the most iconic peaks in the Swiss Alps, like the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau, it offers the chance to experience the Swiss mountains' natural beauty and adventure opportunities.
Leaving from the Grindelwald Firstbahn station, this cable car will take you to the summit of First, a spectacular alpine mountain, in just 25 minutes. You'll enjoy once-in-a-lifetime views of the Swiss landscape from the sky-high altitude of 2,168 meters (7,112 feet) above sea level!
Between Grindelwald and First Mountain, the cable car stops at the Bort and Schreckfeld stations. Once you reach the summit, you can enjoy the breathtaking views.
Your ticket also includes admission to the First Cliff Walk by Tissot. This observation deck offers a panoramic terrace suspended 45 meters (147 feet) above the canyon, allowing you to take in the expansive Alpine peaks.
The viewpoint, one of the most famous in Switzerland, also offers fantastic views of other mountain peaks, like the Reeti, Faulhorn, and Wetterhorn.
