Bartolomé March Foundation Museum

Located next to the Almudaina Royal Palace and Palma Cathedral, the Palau March is one of the most iconic landmarks in the historic center of the Balearic capital.

This majestic palace, originally designed as a residence for the March family, was built between 1939 and 1945 on commission from the Mallorcan businessman Joan March Ordinas. The architectural style of this imposing mansion blends various styles, ranging from historicism to influences from Mallorcan and Italian Baroque palaces.

In 1975, Bartolomé March, the second son of Joan March Ordinas, established the Bartolomé March Servera Foundation, dedicated primarily to the arts and patronage.

Today, the Palau March serves as the headquarters of the Bartolomé March Foundation Museum. With your ticket, you can explore its main spaces at your own pace:

Viewing Platform: Its spectacular garden terrace offers one of the best panoramic views of the cathedral and Palma’s historic center.
Contemporary Sculpture Collection: It houses various works by renowned artists such as Henry Moore, Eduardo Chillida, Auguste Rodin, and Barbara Hepworth.
18th-Century Neapolitan Nativity Scene: This nativity scene features nearly 2,000 meticulously decorated figures.
Murals by Josep Maria Sert: one of the most famous muralists of the 20th century.
Library and cartographic collection: this is one of the finest libraries specializing in Balearic studies; in addition, the palace houses an invaluable collection of nautical charts and incunabula from the 14th and 15th centuries.
Music Room: one of the most elegant rooms in the entire residential complex.
