Volterra Private Tour
At the time of your choice, you'll meet your guide at Piazza Martiri della Libertà. From this point, you'll start a private walking tour that will lead you to discover the monumental legacy of the beautiful Tuscan city of Volterra.
The first stop will be at the Porta dell'Arco, one of the main symbols of Volterra's Etruscan era. It's one of the access gates to the walled enclosure, with origins dating all the way back to the 3rd century B.C.! Next, we'll check out the ancient amphitheater of Volterra, the Roman Empire's biggest stamp on the city.
Continuing on, we'll fast forward through history to the Middle Ages as we admire the tower houses of Volterra and the Palazzo dei Priori, the oldest town hall in Tuscany. You won't be able to stop taking pictures! Of course, your guide will also take you to marvel at the exteriors of the Volterra Cathedral and the Baptistery of San Giovanni.
During the tour, you'll also learn about the importance of alabaster in many of the constructions of this ancient city, and talk about the different sites built with this stone since Etruscan times.
After 2 hours of sightseeing, the private tour of Volterra will conclude at any central location of your choice.
