As one of the UK's most visited gardens, RHS Garden Wisley is not only steeped in history but also a showcase for the future. Located in Woking, Surrey, RHS Garden Wisley is the first home of the Royal Horticultural Society. Spanning an impressive 240 acres (97 hectares), this world-renowned garden delights visitors throughout the seasons with its ever-changing displays of nature's beauty.
With your ticket, you'll embark on a self-guided visit through the garden's expansive areas. Make sure to visit RHS Hilltop – The Home of Gardening Science, where you can explore the ground-breaking research being conducted to safeguard our environment and inspire the next generation of gardeners.
Immerse yourself in the vibrant World Food Garden, where fruit and vegetables of all kinds flourish. You can also relax in the tranquil Wellbeing Garden, or wander through the Wildlife Garden, where you can spot insects dancing by the water's edge.
Feeling energetic? Climb to the top of Battleston Hill for a stunning view, or head to the towering 12-metre (40-foot) high Glasshouse, filled with exotic species from across the globe.
A highlight of the garden is the Old Laboratory, now open to the public for the first time in over a century! This beautiful building tells the fascinating story of Wisley's early days through a range of exhibits, artefacts, and personal memories from past staff.
The peaceful Rock Garden is another area worth exploring, home to a diverse collection of plants that thrive in alpine environments, including the beautifully sculpted cloud-pruned Japanese larch.
Whether you're a gardening enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful escape, there's so much to see and explore at RHS Garden Wisley.
Final admission is 1 hour before closing. Please note that RHS Garden Wisley is closed on December 25th and January 1st.
